Flashing Saddles!

That's right...I flashed my saddle on New Year's Day. And the day after that, and half of the day after that. Well, technically, I flashed my chimey cricket.

But before you get the wrong idea, let me just tell you what I really mean. A cricket prevents water and snow from collecting behind a chimney. Two plywood triangles are cut and built in a mini-roof peak form. The cricket is then covered with a custom-bent saddle...

I HAVE been doing stuff, ya know...

...even though I only update my blog thrice yearly.

Anyway, I have something that I'm able to show. It's part of the latest project I'm doing for Chuck Morrison (formerly of QComics), and it's been a real blast.

<img src="http://www.tjadamowicz.com/pMach/images/uploads/beast03c-blog.jpg" border="0" alt="image" name="image" width="512" height="616" />

This is the newest installment for the project and is one of my...

Tearin' it up!

Well...I have to say things have been so busy for me. Nothing major...just life.

But...back to the subject at hand. What's bein' tore up? What did that terrible 2-year-old break now? Alas, it wasn't her....it was me.

My prized amp, the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, died one day. Just up and quit...I plugged in, let the tubes warm up and then switched it on and...

...nothing.

Couldn't figure out what it was. The pre-amp was getting power (the groovy red jewel light lit up), I could...

Got gear?

I do!

After 8 months of eBay-ing, web-research, web-shopping, selling off stuff, and other things, I finally got my guitar gear together. What took so long you may ask? Well, I shopped for just about every part individually and put it together myself. Yep...I learned to solder, read up on basic electronics, guitar setups and anything else I could get my hands on. Now that this project is done, I'm so happy I did it. It all cost me less than half as it would have retail, and I have some...

Dallas Stars!

Just a quick tidbit of news...I drove a University van to a school-sponsored event last Friday and got to see my first hockey game in over a year (thanks to the damn lockout).

Forgot how much fun it was. We watched the Carolina Hurricanes versus the Stars, and were treated to a 6-5 OT shootout victory by the Stars! Talk about your money's worth...got to see a 4-4 tie at the end of regulation plus the first-ever shootout at American Airlines...
